🔍 Original vs duplicate sheet
Duplicate sheets carrying a big brand's name are sold in the market. They look the same on day one and fail within a few monsoons. Before you buy:
JSW Colouron+
- Look for JSW's tamper-proof, non-erasable quality marking on the sheet.
- Rub it. On a duplicate the liner marking rubs off easily — on a genuine JSW sheet it does not.
- Indradhanush (JSW): genuine sheets carry a non-erasable liner marking and a watermark logo.
Tata Durashine
- Check the Tata BlueScope Steel or Tata Steel Colors branding on the back side of the sheet and on the guard film. (The company is now called Tata Steel Colors — both names are genuine.)
- Scan the QR code on the sheet — it opens Tata's authentication video.
- Tata Prisma: genuine sheets carry the brand mark on the backer coat (back side).
Any brand
- Check the thickness written in the marking against what you were quoted.
- Buy from an authorised dealer and take a proper bill with the brand and product name on it.
